If you’ve found your way to my website, you’ve already taken a meaningful step toward personal growth and healing. I believe deeply in the power of relationships, and the therapeutic relationship is no exception—it’s a foundation for trust, insight, and transformation.

I work with individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and life transitions. My approach is client-centered, which means your goals and values guide the process. Together, we’ll create a space that empowers you to take the lead on your journey.

In our sessions, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and a Strength-Based Perspective. These techniques allow me to tailor our work to your unique needs while building on your existing strengths.

As a Registered Play Therapist, I specialize in working with children, using the natural language of play to help them heal, grow, and thrive. Play therapy offers children a safe and developmentally appropriate way to express their thoughts and feelings, build emotional resilience, and develop important life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and healthy relationship-building.

Through our work together, children are empowered to modify behaviors, gain insight, and navigate challenges in a supportive and compassionate environment tailored to their unique needs.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me. Whether you're seeking support for your child or exploring therapy for yourself, I'm honored to be considered as part of your journey.

What is Play Therapy?

... toys are the child's words!

Initially developed in the turn of the 20th century, today play therapy refers to a large number of treatment methods, all applying the therapeutic benefits of play. Play therapy differs from regular play in that the therapist helps children to address and resolve their own problems. Play therapy builds on the natural way that children learn about themselves and their relationships in the world around them (Axline, 1947; Carmichael, 2006; Landreth, 2002). Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. Play allows expression of thoughts and feelings appropriate to their development.

APT defines play therapy as "the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development."
